kiss goodbye...(to my mid term break of course!)

I dont knoe why...the mid term break seems to pass slower than i expected...maybe..too much time to slack thats y time passes even more slowly...first four days were fast..cause was doing my assignments..but then..from friday onwards jiu...do what i do best lor...

Wanting to sing k ..but in the end..no vacancy..so..haiz...then tot of playing bball in the morning but friends say wanna study for mid term..so..din play...in the evening went down to play..hoping to find some pp to play with..but then all kids with slippers..buay tahan..i hate people wearing slippers to play bballl...like...i dont koe..not prepared or not serious in playing like that...

so sick of reading my abnormal...so freaking thick...read one chapter...forget the previous one that i read before...retrograde interference lor.....like that mid term cham liao lor....so many stuff to remember...

losing steam for my keyboard lessons...haiz..feeling lazy to find new songs and figure out how to play...then. in class..not learning new songs liao.....as for my dance...tho its fun..but it is stressing me out too...so many moves to remember...wah lau...like just into 15min of the lessons..i m sweating like siao due to stress man....

sat went for volunteering...was pretty good i guess..new elderly and kind of new grouping..so get to koe new people as well...then dinner went to dine at saiyerzia - spelling is incorrect but along that line... its a italian restuarant (kind of)at liang court...price is reasonable...BUT..its not nice at all..well its edible lar..just that..the name of dish and the photos werent tally with the actual thing it served...my slices of smoked salmon (shown in the menu) turns out to be bits of salmon...too puny to even taste its salmon or like any other mushroom bits or watever...so i dont recommend to go there and it...


okie..got to get my gearbox and start doing all my work for the next half of the sem!!

A year OLDer...

Finally a breather....Two weeks ago was horrrrrrendous!! practically..wake up go sch..then at night go for dance/ keyboard / run / activities...reach home ard 11...bath sleep...next day routine the same...

Last week was pretty much better...tho 'procrastinated' assignments are still waiting for me...

22 years of age already...graduating in two more years?..working??...omg...cant imagine myself doin that...Had a birthday celebration with my JC pals on friday...most of the girls have graduated and working or like waiting to start work and some still enjoying life...TIME FLIES...

Occassionally i would also think about what i'm gonna do in future....gosh...I m realli very 'nua'...hope to do smth that is related to psychology but then...needs Master degree...no money now, grades average, when u think of it...totally sian diaoz....But anyway see the results for this sem first!

Studies and grumbles aside....Enjoyed my dance last saturday.. at least better thatn the first lesson which i totally stressed out...haha acute stress disorder for the past week liao...at least the instructor pinpointed less of my mistakes..dont feel so discouraged...Keyboard was fine too i guess...tho still quite mediocre....

Went out with my bball clique in the afternoon for a birthday lunch...quite stardard lar..like if our birthdays are coming we would go out and eat....tho i see them like practically every sunday for bball but then...feel realli good to hang out with them...

Practically..thats nothing much exciting to talk about i guess...Haha...everything's kind of routine to me.....- thanks for all the well wishes!-

3 weeks...

Shag....

Been sleeping late and waking up relatively early for the past few weeks...Haiz..now not giving tution...tot i have more time to hit the books..but in the end!!!I m out and playing games more than i study!!jialat....

Okie..A reading a day..well..still kind of struggling lar...hope to maintain..but every reading..i just briefly read thru...din really like seriously 的去 pay much attention or remember that kind..haha...ya..really briefly read thru...then today read thru...after a few days..forget what i read le...haiz..my memory storage is really cuiz...

Speaking of that...today had my keyboard lesson..omg..spent like 45min just playing 2 bars and i still cant coordinate or get the tempo right....the more that i played (on the spot) the more errors i made...haha..easily stressed....first time everything is fine but when my instructor asked me to loop the same bars again..wah...totally cannot liao...haha...fingerings and coordination goes hay wire again...

3 weeks of school has passed tho...well...seems that tho i m not tied down to my tution anymore...i m like engagin in like lots of activities...like...time isnt sufficient like that lar.. at times..runs n exercises, keyboard lessons twice a week now, salsa once a week and upcoming new dance bachata, fortnightly csc involvement, weekly basketball....wah....充实了许多but...口袋也破了满多也是。。now i m a 穷光蛋...really spent like lots of money this month..especially on food sia.. k die....now lect theatre right next to canteen..wah every break..'mai tu liao' go buy food to eat...then meet up with friends etc....woah...tho wat i m spending is wat i earned in the states but then..still feel the pinch lar...y??cause now no income lor...

Haiz..better seriously start studying or watever le...or at least do the right things at the right time..or simply...better time management..

New term

Ichiban Sushi for two consecutive days..omg..k really kill...both price and food i mean. the food is good..but i wished i have a different cusine today...

New term has started. When i look at my blog entries..gosh...its likenot updated..Well dont know why..everytime i tried to log in, there is some javascript error, and i couldnt blog at all. Not only that, when i go into facebook, same thing happens...Gosh..dont know whats happening to my com and my internet connection...Anyway, since now i hardly update it..maybe its high time to call it an end.......

Its been three weeks since i came back from the states. Things changed a litttle i guess. My appetite seems to be smaller now...in the past a packet of noodles and like a packet of fried carrot is no kick for me but now...cant do it anymore..More into exercising now, run more regularly altho not for very long each time...swims getting more and more since i m getting sick of going gym..haha i m too pure lazy also...Now not giving tution, have more time for myself and of course for the books i guess in near future..so i had a good relaxing weekend this week!..met up with friends for dinner, movies etc...But the downside would be no more income! have to rely on my mum for pocket money nxt mth lo...

Catch up with my keyboard lessons.Gosh..getting tougher and tougher but at least its steps closer to playing it well...Stopped my vball recrea and went to refresh my salsa instead. Omg..i realy forgot all the steps and stuff le...come to think of it time flies. Learnt in like a year ago and now..haha..back to the basics...totally forgotten it..Since now i have relatively more time on hand, was thinking of joining a cca without much commitment cause wanna TRY to concentrate more on my studies this time...so thats y i gave up tution..haha maybe go join volunteering work to earn some good karmas?

Watch the movie UP quite some time back with friend. i think its really enjoyable and worth it. Just finished the movie Management by Jennier Aniston. The movie was quite allright to me, meaningful but the movie's tempo was kind of slow so guess you have to bear with it. Its not a like romantic comedy but rather something more realistic yet and some point of time its like maybe it wont really happen in reality that kind....so kind of in between i guess...but i think the director did quite all right in that bah...

Haha...beside gg to sch, back home working out, practice keyboard and maybe study alittle...and dramas of course..haha.play bball on sundays morning..guess this is my routine lor...haiz...

Something's missing....

Been back to Singapore from the States for a week already. 终觉得少了点什么。The first day when i reached, it feels so different. 人不同了，环境也不同了。我的老家似乎也不同了。'Did something changed when i was gone?' 'Nope, nothing has changed.' Walked around my neighbourhood the second day. 还真得有点不习惯。Gone was the 'Good mornings' and 'How are you doing?' Instead was greeted by nonchalent faces. Malays, Indians, you hardly see them in the States, they all looked so different to me even till now. Ah lians, bengs seem to be a local identity now. Everything feel so weird.

在美国时，我很少，可说似乎没有想家。令我怀念的任是新加坡的美食。I am quite sick of bacon, eggs, and rosti(they called it hashbrown) for breakfast everyday. Moreover, salads and fruitless meals. 'Where's all my fried vegetables and fruits?' 撇开食物不谈， 令我很少想家的是在美国那结交的朋友，那温情的友谊。每天忙于工作，下班后打球，慢跑，和朋友聊天，时间飞逝。生活平凡，却很充实。I thought I could never survive without TV for 2 months or even telephone, but I did. Of course, internet must be accesible for me, if not i would turn into a caveman, literally.还记得我们抵达的第一天，冷得半死。When i got into an little argument with Jerry, a kind lady, Lane (who eventually gave us each a little printed painting of hers when we left)offered a helping hand. Susan, our next door neighbour, and her constant, same old complains of her never busy days, cracked jokes that filled the dining room. 阿 ‘侠’ 哥，蓝天，‘大姐大’的‘酸’来‘酸’去，BOSS: 'How long more Ken?',Glaizsa: 'Kenzok!', 'Kuapo': 'Zi Gei Guitar, Zi Gei Dongdong', Mike: 'Yoz, whats up man?' on and on...真的，回到这里，似乎少了这些温情。

As my job is soon up, new people came, from Taiwan, Russia, Turkey. A once rather quiet or say Filipino filled laundry room turned into a bustling place filled with Chinese, Turkish, which i often seeked to stay away.太吵了啦!终于要走时，farewell party was great. From housekeeping, to Kitchen , Front desk, everyone was there. Atmosphere was great.

All this was not possible if my friend, Eve did not ask me to join her. A good companion, who tolerated all my nonsenses, who often brought me supper, whom I waited every night for her (cause I worked morning shift, she worked in the aftn/night shift, so we hardly have a chance to chat) until i fell asleep, and the funny thing was, she wakes up earlier than me everyday!

做工，赚钱，旅游，花钱，感觉实在好。新的事物，新的环境，新的朋友，全新的体验。If I have a chance, I would return. Work in other places in the States? (Worry that things are different. People changed, job is tougher and so on..) Work at the same place? (I don't mind actually, just have to deal with being stucked there without much entertainment again for months.)好了，罗哩罗嗦够了，新的学期又要开始，嗨。。烦恼啊!

LosAngeles

Day1 - Jiamei's uncle came down to SanDiego and drove us to LA. After that, we just slack the whole day, swimming in his pool and immerse in his jaccuzzi cause her uncle was pretty tired after the drive and we din dare to ask him to drive us ard LA. Well i guess its a break for us too...Her uncle brought us to asian restaurants mostly hong kong style. Meals were really good.

Day 2 - UNiversal Studio! It was so awesome! Great rides, great shows, and atmosphere was great!And prepared to get WET!!Haha..its fun for the weak hearted like me lar..dare not go for like upside down or high rollercoasters ride and stuff....In the end we spent the whole day there from 11 till 7 plus. Its definitely worth every cent spent there (well the admission is like 60 bucks usd).

Day3 - Went to Camarillo factory outlets. Drove my friend, Grace's friends to six flags (all the exciting and overhead rollercoaster rides) first before heading to the factory outlets. Freaking long drive...sit until my buttocks ache...well...Got myself a watch, belt and shirt. Tho the branded goods are relatively cheaper than in sgp, but i m still reluctant to spend on it..WEll to me..you spent so much money just for the brand itself and the shirt is like plain...well..maybe i'm not those pp who goes for brands bah..so..yup....But still you can get good bargains still! Haiz..i regret getting just one watch..shd have bought another!!!In the end, we spent half a day there and like went back to pick her friends up and then head back home....A shopping day!! ( Had breakfast at Dennys. Cheap and good! MUst try!!)

Day 4 - Last day in United states. WEnt to West Hollywood to get Jm's brother stuff from marc jacob. Then we head down to wells fargo to close our account. Well we planned to walk the Walk of fame at Hollywood Blvd. In the end, something went wrong when we close our acct at the bank so in the end..Eve and I spent the rest of the aftn in downtown searching for a cash cheque shop but couldnt find it...haiz..the sickening part is...there is like no where to park for free just for a short while in the States lar!!damn hard to find....-_-!!wells thats end our travel in LA and also my whole summer holidays and the work and travel......(to be continued...)

SanDiego

Accomodation- USA hostel on 5th Ave. I think the hostel is quite all right. Looks rather newer than the one that i stayed in San Francisco. At least i dont have to drag my luggage a mile from the bus stop!..The location is great. Right in the middle of downtown. Nightlife is good. With all the restaurants and pubs right at your doorstep. Nothing could be better.

Day1- Arrived around 4pm. Was pretty hot tho its like 25 deg C...(jialat..wheni go back to i wiill sure die..cannot stand the hot weather...). Then we went to the nearby shoopping areas like the Westfield Horton PLaza as my friend eve desperating want to buy some clothes...Welll again, she cant find the size for her...in the end..i bought a levis jeans for 20usd at urban outfitters....so in the end we just spent walking the streets and head back to the hostel.

Day2- Started our day by heading to the well known San Diego Zoo. Well...i always tot that Mandai Zoo in SIngapore is not very attractive..KInd of small..but after i tour the Zoo..actually..Mandai Zoo is comparable to it..in fact the zoo back home can considered to be one of the best...Kind of the wow factor is not there when i toured the San diego ZOo...most of the animals showcased here is the same back home..except that they have bigger roaming areas..Nonetheless its kind of an experience. Then we headed down to Balboa Park next to the Zoo. IF you are a museum and arts lover, the spanish village and the museums in the park will attract you i guess..welll the museums is also super X..lar..13 usd..kaoz...Then we headed to Uptown in Hillcrest in after lunch...hoping to go to uptown plaza to shop..In the end..its not a shopping center..but just a like plaza to get your grocery and stuff...Disappointing!!! We headed back to downtown and walked the bay. Actually, i quite like the bay area cause its not so crowded compared to fisherman wharf..BUT the scenery of San Francisco is nicer to me..so if i can have the leisure of walking in an uncrowded st on a clear day, with the scenic views of San Francisco bay...wah..that would be awesome....Then we headed to LIttle Italy which is kind of next to the bay..well..nth much there..just Italian pubs, cafe and restuarants...

Day3- Went to the SEA WORLD..ITs awesome..so much better than the san diego zoo..(i think you can skip the zoo) and spent the money at the sea world instead. ITs super x la..65 usd for admission but we got ours at hostel so its like 57 bucks..SPent like 3/4 of the day there...Went for most of the rides and the Journey to Altantis is the nicest lar..the rest are much for the kids..not much of a thrill...but still is way better than the zoo...Enjoy the show by the killer whale very much...well they called it SHAMU..prepared to get wet!!!..dun wear shoes if not you will be walking with wet shoes the whole day!..After which we went to Old Town.. Its kind of an old mexican town..lots of tourists...took a gentle stroll down the town....paid 6 bucks to enter this museum called Whaley. Well is so called the haunted house....but guess we went it like ard evening when its still bright..so...there is no 'lin li shi jian'..Its really a SMALL house...but if you go to old town at night..maybe you might wanna go and see if you spot a ghost!..Then off to Fashion Valley! Well..its a big shopping center apart from downtown San Diego. So if you finding a place to shop...its the place then...=)...

That concludes the short trip in SanDiego..well..there are lots of other places that i have not been to tho..one is the USS MIdway martime musuem located at the bay...its a fleet carrier with all the planes parked on top of it...Looks so cool on the outside!!...and i think its a lifetime experience to get on board and see what's inside an sea carrier..and take a picture in the plane..(i dont know whether navy open house let you get on board a ship or not....)
